Near the cottage, remains of old road barriers can still be seen, and in the former village of Svetli Potok, about 1.5 km away, traces of a former military shooting range remain visible. The wider area carries a strong historical background, as the village was abandoned during the war and later burned during the Roška offensive in 1942.
